international board certified lactation consultant, RN, BSN
Rachel has been helping families for twelve years as a Registered Nurse in a variety of skilled healthcare roles; working first in the emergency room, dialysis, and pediatric home health care before discovering her love for new families. For the last ten years, she has worked in the areas of Postpartum and Labor and Delivery as a nurse and childbirth educator, while completing her education to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
Rachel was inspired to become a Lactation Consultant after experiencing her own share of breastfeeding challenges, and believes that moms and babies need compassionate, thorough, and evidence-based information right from the start. Families need support and encouragement in order to make their own
educated decisions on how to feed their babies with confidence and comfort.
Rachel is a wife and mother to four children. She discovered the importance of having a village of support after having her daughters while living far from her family. She is very passionate about encouraging, educating and supporting mothers without judgement. She loves music, running and spending time outdoors.
